Faith Court in Session

To Be Proven:
Faith is the only sure foundation for values in personal and public life.

Faith defined by Webster’s dictionary as a firm belief in something for which there is no proof, is the primary seed from which all person, professional, and public goals bloom.

Faith is our foundation; a value that dives deeper than the leaves on a tree, deeper than the branches that stretch forth, even deeper than the trunk that that stand tall for it dives straight into the heart, the core, the roots from which the tree stems. Faith is the seed from which it was birthed and the center that keeps it balanced.

Faith is our focal point. It is what allows us to dive into the unknown. Every goal we make, we make because of faith. The job we want, we chase after, because by faith, my heart, my dreams, my persistence, tells me that it is attainable. The impossible is made possible everyday because of faith.

Reality is pessimistic while faith is optimistic. I want to become President, history says it will never happen, but my faith tells me that I can make it. Faith is what dares us to walk on water and discover while we not be able to stand but we can float. Martin Luther King Jr. says, “Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase.” It is what causes to tap into our purpose and find the truth in who we are.

Without faith we’d be trapped, downing in a pool of doubt. Without faith evolution would cease to continue, because progress is only made when limitations are challenged. Faith is a dare devil, that laughs in the face of science, facts, and figures, and says I am all that I am just because I believe that I have the potential to be it.

Whether you have the personal goal of not repeating the taunting legacy of those set before you, the professional goal of becoming the first woman CEO in a company, or the public goal of achieving true equality in the work place, it’s made attainable because of your faith.

Faith simply put is an unbreakable trust in one’s self, one’s beliefs, and one’s values.

Verdict:
Guilty. Faith is indeed,  the only sure foundation for values in personal and public life.
